/ ABOUT THE PROJECT
Breeze is the annual festival of Shiv Nadar University that brings together 20K+ students from across the country for three days of performances, experiences, and events.
I developed the festival's visual identity for the year, creating a complete brand system that translated the themes of an urban desi rave inspired by vernacular Indian visuals.

City Lights, Desi Beats, and 3 Nights
The visual direction drew inspiration from vernacular Indian street culture. Think of the art around buses & trucks, kirana store & wall signages, and local product packaging. Known for their bright, chaotic, and saturated elements, these visuals were reinterpreted to create a youthful and expressive festival identity.

Horn, OK, Please!
Inspired by the format of truck license plate art, I made a custom typography logo to become the central visual anchor of the festival identity.

Walls That Talk
Across a wide range of festival deliverables, the visual language needed to adapt to the constraints of differents formats, mediums, and platforms. These materials were designed with bright neon compositions, distorted typography, and drew inspired from vintage psychedelic posters.
The high energy of Magan Ghaat stood out with it's recognisable visual presence in busy student environments.
Technicolour
The colour system draws inspiration from pigments used in holi festival powders. To create energetic compositions, five bright colours were used across posters, and digitals to feel cohesively psychedelic and celebratory.
Mind Your Type
Typography plays a key role in Indian street visuals, and so did Breeze's display fonts.
These were selected to resemble the same distinctiveness found in it's real-life counterparts.

King of The Internet
The central hub for all functions and information, the Breeze website hosted pages from registration, to lineup announcements.
I designed the user interface to feel energetic and drove user engagement into key entry points such as registration and contact pages.
